Marketing will make or break you business!

The number one expense anyone will encounter in business is the cost of marketing. It is not the start-up costs, it is the amount of money one must spend to bring the greatest numbers of people through their pipeline. Most business consultants won't even talk with new business owners about these costs because they are afraid that their new clients will quit even before they start!

It is a fact in business that there are five reasons while people fail. (1) They have a lack of qualified prospects. (2) They do not have the technologies in place to reach massive numbers of people. (3) They lack advanced sales and marketing training. (4) They run out of money before they are in the black. (5) They lack a game plan for being successful.

All of these things have to do with marketing your business rather than simply owning it. You may have the greatest product on earth, but without a target audience to sell your product to, you have nothing. You may have the greatest marketing plan ever devised, but without anyone to present it to you will go broke.

Many in today's world are flocking to the internet and email campaigns to try to find greater numbers of people, but what they don't do online is develop real relationships with their prospective clients. When there is no relationship built your clients will leave you as soon as someone else with a cheaper product/service comes along.

Business building, from its very foundation, been about relationships. Now more than ever you must use all the tools available to you (email, direct mail, telephone, etc.) in a multi-dementional approach to marketing. One dementional approaches may eventually build a successful business, but not only will it take longer it will not stay together as it should.

What needs to be done to be truly successful is to develop a totally relationally oriented system that all your clients can profit from. It is time for business owners to build their businesses with their clients and their profitability in mind. When a business thinks of the profitability of its clients above all else it will be strong and will grow for the long run. All of your marketing efforts should be designed around what is best for the client.  When the client comes first everyone benefits.
