The Entrepreneurial Mindset Creates the Attitude of Success!
Entrepreneurship is a model of doing business in which the business owner is willing to risk time and income to create a business that will take care of himself and his family for years to come. Michael Gerber warns the would-be business owner about what he calls the "Fatal Assumption" of business. The "Fatal Assumtion," according to Gerber is, "if you understand the technical work of a business, you understand a business that does that technical work."
In building businesses, we are often told that to know the technical aspects of how to do the "work" of our business will by nature lead to success. My question has always been that if all it takes is measuring and cutting a board, adding numbers in a column, or plugging the right wires into a motherboard to be successful in business, then why are there so many business failures each year? The answer is that most businesses have fallen under the spell of what Michael Gerber calls "The E-Myth."
